01Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Ravoni, the maker of ezkeep. By installing or using ezkeep you accept them. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
How we handle data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
02License
We give you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use ezkeep on any number of devices, for personal and professional purposes. There is no fee, subscription or account.
ezkeep is free, but it is not open source. The app, its code, design, name and logo belong to Ravoni and are protected by law. Unless the law expressly allows it, you may not:
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app;
- sell, rent or sublicense the app, or charge for it;
- distribute modified copies, or copies from sources other than this website and the official app stores;
- remove or change copyright notices, or use the ezkeep name and logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
Anything you share with ezkeep, such as text, files, messages and passwords, remains yours. We claim no rights over it and never receive it.
03Your use of ezkeep
ezkeep sends data directly between devices on your local network. You are responsible for:
- using it lawfully, and only on networks and devices you are allowed to use;
- what you send, and making sure you have the right to share it;
- checking which device you send to. Every ezkeep device on the same network can find yours; block the ones you do not trust;
- the security of your devices and networks, and keeping the app up to date.
You may not use ezkeep to harm others, to access devices or data without permission, or to break the law.
04Passwords and recovery
Password vaults are encrypted on your devices with keys that only you hold. We never receive your master passwords, recovery keys or vault contents, so we cannot recover them.
- Keep your master password and your Emergency Kit somewhere safe. Without either one, a vault cannot be opened.
- Keep backups, for example by syncing the vault to another device or exporting it to a KeePassXC file.
- Anyone with your recovery key and a copy of a vault can open it. Protect the Emergency Kit like the password itself.
05No warranty
ezkeep is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be free of errors or interruptions, that it will work on every network or device, or that it will meet a particular need. Always keep copies of important files and passwords.
06Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Ravoni is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from the use of ezkeep or from being unable to use it. This includes data lost because a password or Emergency Kit was lost, a transfer was interrupted, or a device was misused.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have by law and that cannot be waived, including consumer rights.
07Third parties
If you get ezkeep from an app store, that store's terms also apply to the download. Your operating system and its features, such as biometrics, the clipboard and the file system, are governed by their own terms.
ezkeep can read and write KeePassXC files. KeePassXC, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux are trademarks of their owners, who do not endorse ezkeep.
08Changes and ending
We may update ezkeep, add or remove features, or stop offering it. We may also change these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continuing to use the app means you accept it.
You can stop using ezkeep at any time by uninstalling it. Your license ends automatically if you break these terms.
09Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Where the law gives you the right to go to court where you live, that right is kept.
These terms are published in English and Portuguese. If the two versions differ, the Portuguese version prevails.
